We Are One – A Big Milestone for Better Networking Hubs
We’ve Officially Turned One!
Better Networking Hubs has officially turned one! It’s hard to believe how much has happened in just 12 months. What started with one hub and a vision to bring like-minded professionals together has quickly grown into a thriving community that’s still expanding.
From the outset, the aim was clear: to create a warm, welcoming environment where business owners and professionals could build genuine connections, share referrals, and grow together. I knew that if I could bring together the right people in the right way, something special would happen – and it has.
Over The Past Year
Over the past year, we’ve launched networking groups in Rossendale, Accrington, Rochdale, and Preston. Each group started with just a handful of founding members, and now some, like Rossendale, have grown to over 20 members. The goal is for each hub to become a vibrant community of around 30 members – and we’re well on our way.
Rossendale Means Business Expo

(Sophie Nash, from the Rossendale Hospice)
To celebrate our first anniversary, we returned to where it all began: the Rossendale Means Business Expo, held at Futures Park in Bacup. It was at this very event last year that we first introduced Better Networking Hubs, so it felt only right to return and celebrate with the local business community. We even ran a prize draw – and I’m thrilled to share that the Rossendale Hospice won a half-price membership. We also gave away free visitor passes, normally priced at £20, so more people can experience one of our networking groups for the first time.
Expanding To London
We’ve now been approached by someone in London who’s interested in launching a Better Networking Hub there, and we will son be in the early stages of developing a franchise model. It’s exciting to see our concept attracting interest beyond the North West, and I’m working on making sure we’re ready for national growth.
Hotel Breakfasts & Netwalking
From hotel breakfasts to countryside Netwalking, each Hub has its own personality, but all share the same sense of community. Members support each other, share knowledge and referrals, and often go on to collaborate. That’s the power of networking when it’s done right.
A Massive Thank You
A massive thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far. Whether you’ve been a member from the beginning or have only just joined, you’ve helped shape something really special.
Here’s to the next chapter!
